As someone who has never interviewed anyone, and doesn't need this information, I found it interesting, thanks.

The part about keeping it short and sweet makes sense if time is limited. But do people actually respond well when you haven't had a chance to 'warm them up' before diving in?

I'm just thinking that I'd probably be a bit reserved or even scripted/rehearsed towards someone just firing questions at me cold.

Then again, celebrities are used to being interviewed so perhaps it doesn't make much difference, and wouldn't change their answers all that much?
