Hahaha, I guess every abbey needs a ghost!
Yes, I did geocaching with a friend who stayed with me years back, then I forgot all about it. Until December last year, when I was walking past a large metal sculpture near my house. A woman asked if I could help her reach something just inside the top part of it (I'm quite tall). Turns out, there was a magnetic tube containing a list of names of folks who'd found it. So cool!
I do play a mobile app game called Ingress Prime, which is map-based and basically crowdsources points of interest and turns them into 'portals' that can be captured by people in opposing teams (the same map was reused for the Pokemon Go app as well). You have to physically visit the location to capture it. Anyway, some places are oversaturated with portals, but it is a good way to find or highlight interesting spots in new or quieter locations.
Please do write an article if you find treasure!
