I hadn’t really thought about the various types of plastics before, so this was interesting! Here in the UK, plastics on food packaging have a number printed on them, to indicate the type (and whether they can be recycled). Still, it all goes into the same recycling bin (except soft plastics like carrier bags), so I never think about it.

Polystyrene is the absolute worst!
