On the flip side – one of my current contracts involves providing feedback to editors. I keep asking for feedback on how I'm doing (but haven't had much so far). Impostor Syndrome and the meta-weirdness of it all aside, I hope these folks are taking my advice well, and that my advice is sound. A lot of the work is presented to me anonymously so it's definitely not personal!

For me, rejections still hurt, but I'm fine with most writing feedback. I do agree with the advice to take a step back, and would add: find something else to focus on, as it's easy to let your mind obsess even away from your desk.
