I was just having dinner with a friend who was recently visiting family in South Korea. Current situation there aside, he was saying that since the minimum wage went up there recently, a lot of shops have switched to being unstaffed (or minimally staffed). And so now there are many unstaffed 24hr shops. Same with restaurants, folks just order and pay 24hrs on a screen at the table, and there’s no need to talk to anyone.
