That's rude of someone just to take stuff from your carport like that. Yes it's out in the open, but it's still on your property, not the pavement. Your car goes in your carport – do they think it's up for grabs?

Hopefully it was someone who made a mistake (having seen stuff on the pavement previously) and/or who really needed it. If they noticed that you give things away regularly, they'll have clocked that you're a kind soul and they'll be grateful (despite the thievery!).
