This is my issue with (hypothetically) living in the past. I get terrible motion sickness; I would not cope with the boat journeys, especially without medicine! Even longer coach journeys – I feel queasy just imagining the carriage bumping and swaying along the unpaved roads. If I lived in the 1800s, I'd be staying put.
